About Me

As a passionate outdoorsman and traveler from a young age I developed an excitement for the world around me that I always knew I wanted to share with others. Whether you’re teaching someone how to thrive in the outdoors, giving someone a new skill, or just seeing someone smile when they identify their first bird: knowing you just changed someone’s life forever is a powerful feeling. That’s why I became a guide. With a strong background in outdoor recreation & education, a passion for teaching, and a near perverse joy for complicated logistics the outdoors industry is my happy place.

Traveler, Adventurer, Guide

Traveling has changed my life forever. From deserts to jungles to mountain summits, all 7 continents, and everything in between I have been lucky enough to see the world. This is the world that I want to show you. Nothing excites me more than planning the next expedition. Whether it be a 10-day river trip in the desert, summiting a mountain on another continent, putting together a research expedition to a remote camp in the Peruvian Amazon, or horse-packing through Mongolia (hopefully soon!) I'm your guy. In the words of John "Hannibal" Smith, "I love it when a plan comes together!" Need help putting an expedition together? Head on over to my Contact page!

I always tell people that being able to travel is both a blessing and a curse. It's a blessing for the obvious reason; it's a great privilege to be able to travel. It's a curse because it becomes an addiction and once your bubble of ignorance is popped it's gone forever.

Safari Guide

Since my first safari when I was 11 years old Africa has had my heart. No other place on Earth will open your eyes and change your perspective like Africa. As a certified South African trails guide I get to pursue my passion of getting up close to big game animals on foot. There's no feeling in the world like being eye-to-eye with some of the most incredible animals alive, seeing the world from their perspective.
